Cars + Oil
December 18, 2007

Just watch a talk by Amory Lovins (an energy expert) who was saying (two years ago) how we already have the technology to make highly fuel efficient cars which will use drastically less fuel for a number of reason including how engine technology has progressed significantly yet engines haven’t, how we could be using materials that are lighter AND stronger than the steel we are using at the moment.
But the bulk of the talk was on the political and financial reasons why actually building cars this way is far better, including job creation. The talk was factual and to the point and didn’t focus at all on the whole “love your plant”, “time is running out” crap which, though we all agree with, has been heard so much already that we would now prefer to tear out our own eyes than listen to it all again.
He and a couple of others have written a free book called “Winning the Oil Endgame” download it here.
