Against the national trend
December 6, 2007

Party membership may be low nationally but Canterbury CLP has recently seen an increase in membership.
The current committee of Whitstable Labour Club have be making a number of changes which have seemed controversial to many of the associate members to club. So a number of them have joined the party.
The rational to this is that unless you are a full member to the club (i.e. Both club and party membership) you are not entitled to vote at the Club’s AGM. It would appear that a number of newly full members to the club may be planning a coup at the Club’s AGM in April.
Of course they may just like Brown and want to deliver leaflets.
