Obama for President

Last Saturday I felt in great awe of an American politician that I haven’t felt since The West Wing finished last year and before that JFK.
As you all know Senator Barack Obama last week launched his bid of the White House and managed to hit all the issues us in the UK call socialist, which is surprising when you consider that most democrats can’t bring themselves to say liberal and would struggle getting past the S in socialism if they had to spell it.
Minus the ethanol pledge he slipped in the middle of his declaration, I felt the hairs on my back stand-up two thousands miles away watching live on CNN. This guy has the power to bring The States back to a level of normality; they won’t even be kicking and screaming. They’ll be walking and they’ll be singing.
